So it goes:
Up; the wind is sweet as it catches the twists and turns of the car hugging the curves and swerves of the trail.
Up; laughter rolls out of a chamber filled with only elated thoughts and desires to love, spend, and drink up every last bit of the elixir so intoxicating and free.
Up; a chink, a stall, a brake in the perfectly oiled machine that slows down, down, down the gears to neutral.
Gear N; basic feelings in a basic state occupying the same space as the others nothing sweet nothing satiating, just simple.
Gear N; a holding cell for the innocent until proven guilty.
Gear N; shift once more, move the gear, here we are now in a different dimension, different dynamic, depressions made into the clay, a hole.
Down; final stopping point for now, for ever, for what purpose other than to drive those around you mad mad mad.
Down; the most beautiful thing is somehow flawed and imperfect, the special china ugly and unsatisfying, a night so wonderful now rendered confusing and heavy.
Down; so it goes, the wind is sweet as it catches the twists and turns of the car hugging the curves and swerves of the trail…
